President Obama visited Cairo on June 4th. He delivered a speech to Muslims around the world from the 100-year old Cairo University, just near one of the living seven wonders of the world, the Great Pyramids of Giza. (Check our special report here)

Tell us what you think! What can the United States do to improve relations with Arabs and Muslims?  Watch this video for a variety of expectations. Watch what some Muslim Americans have to say & read some Interfaith News

Here is some reaction to the speech directly from Cairo, Egypt…

If you missed the speech, take a look at Paula Wolfson’s report:

The God of the East & the West, of all the worlds:
In the past, may in the West used to wrongly think that God is a white bearded old man throwing thunderbolts from the sky.  Some have become secular, thinking that the idea of God is going “out of fashion!”

Now, many in the West think that Muslims worship a “moon star,” and they call it “Allah,” — wrong again!

Allah is Arabic for God. He is the one and only God worshiped by Muslims, Christians and Jews.

I used to listen to this Words of Faith show, previously called  “Muslim Reflections,” on BBC in the 1980s.  Listen here: it gives you an idea about Islam.

Here are some useful official and reliable Islamic Web sites: Al-Azhar of Egypt, IslamiCity-USA, Al-islam.com (Saudi Arabia)

Egypt is optimistic about the visit.  Listen here:

As a young GI at the beginning of my Career
in Federal Government Service, I trained with
Turks, Koreans, South Vietnamese and Persians.
( Iranians refered to themselves as citizens of
Persia ). The Turks, Persians and Koreans were
excellent soldiers and fine men. They were were
disciplined, well trained and INTREPID. They
distained anyone who “brown nosed” superiors.
They would have no respect for President Obama.
These Muslims were very proud of the fact that
The Prophet was a “soldier of fortune” caravan
guard who rose up to glorious heights as The
Mighty Warrior Commander of Islam and spread
the Will Of Allah by Fire & Sword. These Muslims
also disrespect anyone who demonstrates false
humility in order to suck up to another person
or group. I doubt if they respect us anymore.
I have read Quran more than once. I did not
see anything in there that would lead me to
    conclude that President Obama’s “Neville
Chamberlain” brown nosing of The Islamic World
would earn any respect from them toward America
or Americans. Of course I could be wrong, too.
If I had a dollar for every time I have been
wrong, Bill Gates would be outside in my front
yard, washing my car right now. I do not doubt
President Obama’s sincerity, nor objective; just
his play acting. It’s unmanly. I am a Christian
Irish/Indian American, but any Arab Muslim Man
would agree with me 100 percent. So why is he
doing the phoney modesty, “let’s put down the
USA” thing. It just doesn’t turn on Muslims.
It more than not, turns them off. They want to
dicker with a Great Warrior “mano a mano”, with
weapons on the ground in between them. THAT’S
    Islam.
